The Ahava Always Collection has been bringing exceptional style to shoppers all across the United States since our founding, and we don’t intend on stopping anytime soon. We aim to inspire our customers to be exactly who God has called them to be while living a life that exemplifies the love of Christ in all they do.

Why "ahava"?

The Hebrew word for "Love" is Ahava [Ah-ha-vah]. "Ahava" is made up of three basic Hebrew letters. These three letters actually are broken down into two parts: a two letter base or root, and the first letter, which is a modifier. The meaning of the two-letter base is "to give". The letter "aleph", which precedes these two letters comes to modify the meaning of the base word, "give", to "love". To God, love has always been just as much of an action as it is an emotion. God calls us to get to work when he tells us to love. The Ahava Always Collection & Podcast aspires to encourage others to start living a more intentional "ahava" filled life.

The Podcast

The year 2020 brought so much....heaviness. With that heaviness came a whole lot less love as we seem to still be entirely focused on the elements that divide us and unconcerned with eternal affairs. We are still living in the chaos of each day, consumed by what the world has deemed important and completely distracted in accomplishing what God has called us to do - love. In asking God what I could do about this, His answer to me came in the form of starting a podcast ministry. Particularly, a podcast that served as a devotional for women to dive into God's word to find inspiration and encouragement that helps us be exactly who God has called us to be. Through this platform, we also aspire to reach non-believers and share with them the hope we have in Christ. 

 

Of course, like with any good story, I did not like this answer from God. Starting a podcast ministry seemed impossible and a LOT of work. Plus, how in the world was I going to be able to afford to do this? What would people think? Am I even qualified to do something like this? What if I fail? Clearly, I heard God wrong, so I tried to ignore this completely, but God was resilient in speaking this to me time and again. To make it even more difficult to avoid, He continued to remove all of my excuses. Fast forward, and with a lot of hard work and several obstacles, here we are. Running away from my calling only delayed the blessings God had in store for me by trusting Him and walking in my true purpose. Thankfully, God continues to leave the 99 to find me - and you.
